The At Ease Collective

Build a burnout-proof business (& life!) with other out-of-the-box entrepreneurs and creatives who get it.

Fellow entrepreneurs: have you noticed when you’re in the throes of overwhelm it feels practically impossible to get anything crossed off your to-do list? Yeah, same. Even when things appear to be going well, overwhelm - and its first cousin, burnout - always feels close by.

Especially if your brain is wired differently, or if you’re healing from trauma, or if perfectionism’s been running the show for too long.

And because everywhere you look in the biz space you’re being told you have to “hustle to make it happen”, working so close to the edge of exhaustion has become almost expected. Dare I say, normalized.

Except, you know this way of working is not ok. And it sure as heck isn’t sustainable for you.

motivational post it notes around a poster that says I am a woman on a mission to...

You started your business/side-hustle/dream because you know your work matters. You’re committed to helping others with your gifts and building a legacy you can feel proud of.

None of that can happen when you feel you’re always only one “yes” away from burnout.

But when you get super clear on which areas of your biz need the most support AND how to actually create and maintain feel-good systems to keep things running - even when that overwhelm hits - you start beating burnout.

And when you notice, “Hey, I’m not the only one struggling with this!” you can begin to give yourself a break and calm the inner voice that’s been constantly asking, but why does this feel so hard for me?!

Because the traditional business space was not built with creative, out-of-the-box entrepreneurs like you in mind. Yes, you want to make money because you want to live with more ease, have more options, and make more impact. But you know the ‘quick-fix’ solutions and 10X months you hear about aren’t the way.

You want to expand your capacity, help more clients, make consistent income, and open yourself up to new ways of doing business - AND do it all in a way that feels deeply connected to your purpose.

I know, because I want those things, too.

“I worked with Taji over the course of a year as I wrote and self-published my first book. She brings so much knowledge and organization as a writer and business coach, and her recommendations have been game-changers for me. She was always invested in my story and held space for me to unpack the most difficult parts. As a someone who struggles with ADHD, working with Taji gave me the structure and accountability I needed to be reach my goals.” - Sheryl Wagner, Psychic Medium & Author

I’m Taji (she/her)

I’m a queer, trauma-informed business coach, who’s been riding the waves of entrepreneurship for 20+ years.

I know what burnout feels like because I’ve been there.

After running my catering business for over a decade, my physical and mental health started to decline - I knew I needed to make a change. The pandemic forced that change on me and not a moment too soon - I collapsed into the rest my body had been craving for years.

Ever since that moment I’ve been learning, unlearning, and working to better understand what I need for my business - and me - to thrive. I’ve trained in neuroscience, mindset & habit building and storytelling….all tools that have helped me find my way to a happier, healthier place.

Now, I hold space for other entrepreneurs who are ready to build burnout-proof businesses, too. My coaching and content strategy framework brings together 4 core elements that I know are mandatory for creating a biz where you feel 100% at home: Mindset Science, Storytelling Magic, Nervous System Regulation, Sustainable Work Habits.

I’m also a mom. Becoming a parent and diving deep into my own trauma healing has required me to find an equilibrium in my work and life. They are the same, after all. I am the same person when I enter a coaching session as I am when I put my son down to sleep for the night. A person who carries the aftershocks of trauma AND has a business dedicated to helping people heal their trauma while running thriving businesses.

I've modeled my new business under these basic beliefs:

My business and my healing can co-exist. My story is why I'm uniquely suited for my work.

I’m creating the thing I wish I had 20+ years ago: a space for you and your business to grow sustainably, without the constant hustle. Somewhere you can feel seen, supported, and celebrated in the fullness of who you are, by other folks who understand what it means to run a business outside of the “traditional” business space. A place where we make room for our trauma, create work that feels good, and make money the ethical way.

Welcome to The At Ease Collective.

“The group in the Collective was just so beautiful. I was always excited for our calls and didn't miss even one. And Taji’s feedback, help, and creativity REALLY helped me get clear on my messaging. She consistently gave me top notch ideas that were gold nuggets.” - Kirsten Tonja, Intuitive Nutritionist

You might’ve already tried to up-level your mindset through coaching. But without putting practical systems in place to support those mindset shifts, it’s easy to backslide into patterns of perfectionism, people-pleasing, and over-delivering. (And by the way, that’s ok.)

I’m not saying you’ll never backslide again. To be human is to take three steps forward and two steps back. I’m saying that getting back on track after backsliding is easier when you have tools that actual work in your real life.

Right now you might feel:

  • The compulsion to “do it all” on your own

  • So overwhelmed by your to-do list that you’re frozen with inaction

  • Physically, mentally, and emotionally drained, tapped out, scattered

  • Exhausted by the grinding-your-teeth anxiety that comes with uncertainty and financial stress

  • Like your offerings aren’t a true reflection of the values you hold

  • Unsure how to integrate your story into your business, and uncertain if your story even matters (spoiler alert: it does!)

  • Held back by negative inner dialogue (you’re fully aware of how you’re speaking to yourself isn’t serving you, but you’re not sure how to combat it).

Instead, how about feeling:

  • Fully supported by a trauma-informed coach (hi!) and a small group of other entrepreneurs who are navigating all the same highs and lows as you

  • Guided by practical systems that are built around a workflow that actually works in your life, so you always know what the next step is

  • Excited about more days doing biz “in flow” than out

  • Confident your programs, services, and offers are wholly representative of the impact you’re trying to make in the world while honoring your own boundaries, capacity, and unique story

  • Gentle with yourself - because you’ve got proven mindset tools and a supportive community to turn to when things get rocky…?

The At Ease Collective is where this happens.

The At Ease Collective is a 3-month intimate group business coaching container, focused on our mutual growth - because learning and growth happen better in community. It features:

  • 6 video modules with worksheets & prompts.

  • 12 weeks of support, accountability, and learning. Our individual growth IS collective growth.

  • 6 Group Coaching calls (90 minutes each) meeting every two weeks. During these calls, everyone will have the opportunity to be seen and heard.

  • 6 Co-Working Accountability sessions. On the weeks between coaching calls, we’ll meet up on Zoom for some dedicated work time to help us get out of the procrastination loop and into motion.

  • Voxer access to me M-F 10 am - 4 pm PST. So if questions pop up, or you want individual feedback, or maybe you just need some extra coaching, I’m in your back pocket.

  • Access to our private At Ease community. This is NOT another Facebook group - we use MightyNetworks because it is indeed mightier for soooo many reasons!

  • Inside our community, you’ll find: resources, replays, worksheets, check-ins, and, of course, plenty of feel-good community connection - what it’s all about!

Together, we work towards your next big biz/creative goal by using the four pillars of a Burnout-Proof Business:

mindset science

The “M” word has probably come up a few times since you started running your business. I haven’t met an entrepreneur - or a human! - who hasn’t gone into battle with their mindset on at least one occasion. You are not alone in the struggle. Together we can work on re-training your brain to work for you, rather than against you. How you think about yourself can be relearned. (Trust me, it’s science!) And when you do all this? You stop sabotaging your happiness and progress, and you begin noticing more joy and possibility.

nervous system regulation

Mindset tools don’t really work on a dysregulated nervous system. Allow me to walk you through simple, practical tools you can turn to whenever you need to create more calm in your life and work. Suddenly, that anxiety spiral doesn’t have to derail your entire day. You’ll create a regulated business (one that’s in flow, steady, and ready for the inevitable pivots) by keeping your nervous system regulated. Your decisions will feel like a full-body “yes” or a crystal clear “no.”

storytelling magic

Your story is your superpower. And when you own it, by fully embracing all of your quirks, missteps, and moments of brilliance, you can (finally!) show up in your business as your whole self. And, bonus: owning your story = calling in your dream people. Better yet, as a byproduct of this work, imposter syndrome usually gets a boot out the door. With simple, focused storytelling tools you’ll create evergreen business stories and content that helps you finally feel good talking about yourself and your business.

sustainable business practices

If your mind, heart, and nervous system are solid, but you don’t have the business systems to back them up, it’s likely overwhelm and burnout are still hanging around. But there’s no one-size-fits-all tool or system. We’ll find the right systems for you by getting clear on how you work and what you need to be successful (whatever your version of “success” looks like). End result? More free time, more brain space, more clarity - so you can finally escape that feast-or-famine stress that so often comes with being an entrepreneur.

At Ease brings you accountability, community, and mentorship to build a Burnout-Proof Business.

The At Ease Overview

Over 12 weeks we’ll navigate 6 modules. You may come into the group with a clear goal or next step you want help to accomplish OR maybe you know you need to make some moves but aren’t sure which direction to go. Either way, the tools shared will build a toolbox you’ll use going forward to create and sustain your burnout-proof biz.

You’ll have time to explore the material on your own time, and then join us for bi-weekly LIVE group coaching calls, where we’ll dive into your questions, walk through your next best steps to reach your goals, practice co-regulation, trouble-shoot challenges, and hype each other up. On weeks when we don’t have coaching calls, we’ll come together for co-working sessions to do the work.

“The At Ease Collective 1000% lives up to its name - I’ve never felt more at ease during group coaching work. We covered A LOT - like how to overcome unhelpful thinking patterns, how to talk more confidently about the story behind our business, and pay closer attention to how our nervous system responds in certain situations - but it never felt overwhelming or too much.

And the Blueprint Sessions! This precious 1:1 time with Taji is pure GOLD because her brain is fantastic at taking all those jumbled ideas bouncing around in your head and distilling them down into clear,  actionable, manageable steps. Taji has created something really rare and really special here - I feel like the At Ease Collective is exactly what we all need right now. Join - you won’t regret it.”

During our time together, I invite you to embrace three of my favorite things:

compassion

Compassion is powerful. The research is clear: self-compassion is one of the most effective tools we have to better our mental and physical health. It’s time to take compassion out of the “I’ll do it when I have time” category, and center it as a critical part of our daily life and business. Inside At Ease we will practice simple ways to increase our compassion to ourselves and to others. This seemingly simply thing has the power to dissolve the negative impacts of perfectionism (something so many of us entrepreneurs suffer from), and set us free.

courage

Brene Brown taught us that true leadership requires vulnerability. (And what is entrepreneurship if not leadership?) But we all know that vulnerability requires courage because it can be scary AF. When we dive into self-reflection and excavate our stories, we unlock our truth. A truth that is required for us to build burnout-proof businesses. This exploration requires an immense amount of courage. Something we will navigate within the brave container of At Ease. Vulnerability begets vulnerability. Truth begets truth. We can do this, together.

community

Our full-time job as humans is to find connection and belonging. Cultivating community - rather than feeling compelled to go it alone and perform your expertise for an ‘audience’ - makes room for real, long-lasting, meaningful connections. This is how your work becomes more sustainable. When we come together to celebrate, uplift, and learn from each other, our conversations are richer, our understanding becomes clearer, and our businesses thrive alongside our personal growth.

Ready to feel good in your biz?

Letting me into your business (and life) isn’t something I take lightly. It takes time to build trust and I know how vulnerable it can feel to enter into any kind of coaching relationship. As your mentor, I will always hold your best interests, and the best interests of the entire group, in the highest regard.

I am truly grateful you’re here.
